Diving in Laconia

Some description


The area of Laconia and more particularly, the gulf of Epidavros Limira, which starts at Monemvasia and ends up at the coasts of the Myrtoan Sea, is ideal for autonomous diving using breathing apparatus. What is more, you are allowed to go free diving south of the bluff of Psifia from Trinissa to Kokinia, at Elos and at Skala. Around this area there are numerous diving schools and shops for renting diving equipment.

Some description


At the last weekend of September an international marathon called “Spartathlon” is organized. Hundreds of athletes from all over the world walk a distance of 246 km from the Herodion to the statue of Leonidas in Sparta. This Marathon is considered to be one of the most difficult ones and there is large media coverage in Greece and abroad.


Lagadas Climbing Park

Some description


In the area of Lagadas there is the Lagadas Climbing Park, which provides more than 50 safe itineraries of medium and high difficulty. The Climbing Park is located at an altitude of about 800 metres just a few kilometres away from the settlement of Tripi. The best time for climbing is from mid May until the first weeks of October.
